Which phone to buy??

Which phone to buy?? does it sound like the common question that you hear from your friends, family circle frequently?

With the advancement we saw in mobile technology, the decision is getting tougher everyday!

I was thinking, why it is so difficult for us to choose a phone and finally landed up writing this post

Current market of mobile phone is too crowded, in recent years the amount people invest in mobile phones has grown tremendously.

Since cash flow is more, competition is more too. There are lot of big players who are fighting hard to introduce new features in their flagship models.

Apple, Google, Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony, Nokia and lot more

Every month there is some or other lunch from these companies. So back to the question now. Which phone to buy??

From my point of view , phone can be picked with below criteria
  • Purpose or Usage
  • Comfort level
Purpose or usage varies from one to other. So it should always be you who should decide on this part.

Try this! Ask yourself, Why am i buying a phone now? what is my purpose ?

Based on the answer we can narrow down the options.

Are you a game addict? are you more towards browsing? are you fond of movies? are u impatient, you don't like waiting for screens to load?

Let me say it with example.

Say if you are a game addict then the obvious need would be graphic support. If you are movie lover and like to watch more movies in mobile, then storage comes into picture. If you do browse a lot, then screen size matters.

Like this, based on the need you can narrow down the option.

Now you identified your need. What next?

Obvious thing should be choosing a brand. Which brand i should go for?

Each brand has their own value and price range. I should say this question is somewhat related with your budget.

If you can spend more then the high end flagships are waiting for you or in the other hand if you don't want to spend more still want to get the optimal product, then do read more

Check the spec in detail. Price of the phone is closely related with its specs. If you want to enjoy current trend and don't want to spend more then do this, decide what level of specification you want to buy

3 GB RAM on a phone for normal usage is insane. Cut your price there

Storage, if you are going to use the phone you are buying now for more than 2 years then think about going for more storage or you have usage for the memory. If you think mobile technology will advance even more and you wont be happy with what you have now then decide accordingly

For me 16 GB storage ( non extensible ) is OK if your usage is below normal or even normal and 32 GB is good. 64 GB , 128 GB ??? I don't see any use unless you have anything specifically

Processor, this is again a major area where you can reduce your cost. All the high end model comes in with the latest mobile processors available in the market

Consider  nexus 5 and nexus 4. Nexus 4 is a older phone now, which is running Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro and Nexus 5 is running Qualcomm Snapdragon 800.

Do you know what difference it makes in real time? it should be around seconds. The lag that's getting created will be in seconds

This comparison is valid on all mid range to high range phones. Overall performance will be good with the obvious high end model but the mid range are not bad too

On the other hand, you will definitely get a better speed, clarity with high end models but think on the price you are paying for it!

I am not against buying high end model but we need to make sure is it of real worth before deciding. If you have a purpose for the speed, clarity and battery then you can buy a high end model without any question. My point is why pay more if you hardly use them or need them

There are more things to discuss on, Screen size, Pixel ratio, Battery life and lot more

Every single thing has a low range , mid range and high end alternative. It's we who need to decide on which we are spending

Secondly comfort level, this is very important. Are you comfortable with the model you picked? make sure you get a proper valid response on this from yourself. Mobile is something you carry with you whole day so be sure it is comfortable

when i say about being comfortable, it is directly on the built quality and design

If you have small hands then holding a big phone like I phone 6+ or Note 4 is difficult. You can get used to it but still i am just telling

Market is wide open, make sure you pick a perfect model that suits your need and fits well in budget

With a good phone you can save lot of your time as it can solve lot of purpose. Happy shopping

Thanks for reading

Cheers!
